Does anyone know where to find an original style tapered pin to hold the steering wheel on for a D17?

I had plans to replace the steering wheel but it was removed while I was not at the farm. I came home to find the spokes cut off and the hub cut in two. It should have been an easy job to drive the pin out and put it back in the new steering wheel. So now I’m looking for a replacement pin. Not a fan of the steel roll pins I see advertised for attachment. I would like the correct pin. I’m not normally particular about stuff like that, but I want to erase the memory of someone messing with my tractor.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it

John

That looks like it.

I was poking around on the agco parts books website and there is a pin with no number in the parts diagram so I was thinking that maybe it was the pin. I will have to see if they can get it. If not, I’ll have to figure out a measurement for the size from McMaster Carr

Thanks!
