Does anyone know where I could find a thermostat for my HD3 track loader? I found the part number in my HD3 manual but when I order it by that number it is not correct. The manual shows the thermostat fits inside the top radiator hose, and is held in place with a clamp around the hose. Can anyone help?

I would think any auto parts store can help you or tractor place. Its probably the same as the tractors that year. I would test it first by putting in a pan of water, heat it up to see if it opens. There should be a number on the thermostat that any parts house can cross reference. norm

I have tried all major parts stores and no one has a clue what I am talking about. I ordered one for the same year tractor but it is a conventional type thermostat which will not work. The type of thermostat for the HD3 is installed in the upper radiator hose, and held in place with a hose clamp. I cannot check the thermostat because when I got the loader it had been removed. I looked on Google and I saw a photo that looks just like the one in the manual but I have had zero luck finding it.
Thanks for your help |

You are correct. The thermostat fits inside the hose. Did you go the the MINNPAR site, or give them a call? Kevin @ Illinni can help as well.. His add is at the bottom of the page.

I called MINNPAR and gave them the part number but the description was not a in the hose type. I am now being told that the same thermostat is in an 8N Ford. I called and talked to the dealer and the measurements are correct, in fact he said he has sold several for applications other than a Ford. Thanks for your help
