I was at an auction over the weekend and bought a single bottom plow for a G. I have searched the web and can't find much about them. Are they rare? What is the value of one? It has a Steel wheel, a disc and a moldboard with Allis-Chalmers cast into it.

Being a cast mole board I’m leery to put a price on it, they tend to be brittle and lots of the ones I’ve seen have been repaired. A regular steel one in the South usually brings $250-350 If complete with wheel and coulter. Nice find!

The cast molboard was only used on the #124 bottom assembly, which also could be had with a steel moldboard. As for shares, there are many different ones that are used, steel and cast.
The G plow was standard with a depth wheel and concave coulter.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

I would not call them rare. I have seen many and I have one on mine. Although many attachments were made for the G, the cultivators are the most common. I just restored mine earlier this year. ![]() |
