I had new shocks and struts put on it
The dang thing drives so much better and I havnt had time to get it lined up yet. Next Wed for that. It's a difference of night and day. I never figured leaking struts could make such a difference. |

I had a brand new one that came from the factory with a bad rear shock. I hated that van from the day i got it. had it for sale by the time we figured it out. was 100% better when i installed new rear shocks, but by that time i had developed a real hate for that van!

I had a Monte Carlo for a while with a broken rear strut mount. Drove it that way for a long time. There was a patch of rough pavement 1/2 mile north of our house I drove every day. It was like driving a drop of water on a hot skillet over that patch! Got to be fun after you got used to it, just hold the wheel straight and feel your butt skitter toward the ditch and come back!

Lower to mid teens for mpg. Maybe break 20, if you drive like you have an egg on the accelerator.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.
