Alex do you have a simple trick to get the bolt holding the muffler on mine is rusted solid on my D14 would like a nelson muffler on but fear breaking the bolt off hoping for an easy fix. Randy

It does, only difference is outlet pipe is twice as tall and 1/4" larger (1 7/8") than D17 muffler 246129

No easy way, penetrating oil or/and heat. Or break it off and drill it out (reverse drill bits work best) and retap threads. The NOS bolts I have here are grade 2 so easy to drill and retap!

If your threads are 3/8, you could go with the brass bolt 226169 from WD45 muffler, but the D14/D15 parts books seem to show a 7/16" bolt used to attach muffler... Contradicts the used D15 manifold I have here which is threaded for  3/8" bolts.

Heat the bolt with a torch until red, then toss a glass of water on it.  Don't overheat the bolt until it starts dripping!  This worked well on my D14 manifold bolts and I highly recommend it.  It appears that this process separates the metals back to their separate materials.
