No rectifier/regulator on tractor = didn't know that either. Boy, expensive lessons about a new to me series engine/tractor.  Muffler shot, so can't stand noise in shop to get engine reving high enough to see if there even is a stator that produces electricity!

Finally broke the cone clutch free!   Yay!

Bought the PTO idlers from Ron Erickson, as well as some rollers for the mower deck.  Maybe can get this unit cutting grass yet this fall, but won't be charging the battery as I cut.    lol.

Yes, cone clutch is there, but froze up. Now I need to know how to fix that!  This series of tractor is new to me - AND it seems like it is going to be expensive.  And, yes, it looks like I need the hanging pulleys and idlers that attach like the PTO on my B series.

Didn't have an ammeter either, so I put one in - doesn't charge.

The joys of buying over facebook marketplace.

The cone clutch is the PTO. You probably just need the idlers and arm.

Just purchased an AC 716. Previous owner now can't find PTO. Will post this in classified as well. My first purchase in this series, and thought possibly the pto was up under frame - NOT!  Lol. Never found out til I got home, 200+ miles later.
