I have been dealing on an AllisD-21 series 1 tractor for about 7 years now. It was bought new in 1963 and parked in a shed in 1974 with 2100 hours on it. Everything is original including big boots on back and it has a cab. It was parked because it was pushing antifreeze up the stack. I don't know if it is seized but chances are good it is.When i last saw it 5 years ago the tractor itself was in real good original shedded condition.
It was tied up in an estate dispute for 3 years and is now for sale. What would it be roughly worth in the US in that condition. I am going to look at it this weekend and will take some pictures. There is also a WD and a D-17 in that shed but they are very rough although the WD does run. Also an IHC 400 diesel. Any thoughts. Located in Western Canada. Thanks.

I saw a D21 Series II sell several years ago at auction for $7500. It was running but was very rough. The drawbar had been broken & welded back together. The welding was not done by a professional welder. It was messy. The D21 needed lots of expensive TLC! A cab would lower the value of a D21 here in southwestern Illinois. But that could be the opposite in your area. A D21 is definitely worth saving. The 1 you're looking at sounds like it's in good shape EXCEPT for the engine. An overhaul will be expensive. About a year ago I saw a good, unrestored, off the farm D21 Series II sell at auction for about $19,000. It needed tires. If you want, take the $19,000 as an approximate value and subtract the cost of an engine overhaul. Use that value to make a ballpark offer.
