Put the 3pt Woods on the 170 to pasture thistle and general cleaning along fence lines. Found the 3pt wouldn't lower when tractor was running so I had to lube some linkage and working better now.

Over the course of the weekend I had every Allis on the place running except for CA-2, battery was dead. Even WD-Grandpa started right up after some battery charging. Cleaned up the All-crop drill and put away for the year. Drug a harrow section around with the NF-45, really smoothed out the new gravel and I had a ball doing it!

Serviced the 66 all crop to get ready for wheat. Takes an entire cartridge of grease to do the entire machine. And no matter how much I clean, there are always mouse nests and walnuts everywhere!

Had the power washer out to clean up the grain truck so I washed the 6080 and WD Micha. Everything in that shed was filthy!

Skidded some red oak "tops" out of the woods for my neighbor with my D-17.
At 81, it's nice to have a veteran, now construction worker who knows how to work do the hauling the chains around and do the "hookin'" .
He had his property "logged off" last year which consisted mostly of really big Red and White Oaks.
The "tops" will keep his outside wood boiler "perkin" for a few years to come.

I went to a tractor pull on the other side of the mountain. I took the CA and entered 2 classes, 3,000 & 3500. They didn't have a 2500. I won both classes. This tractor is for sale if anyone is looking for a great running CA already set up for pulling.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

Yesterday (9/24/22) my wife and I went to Culpepper, Va. to meet up with other tractor friends to go on a ride. We traveled over 40 miles of back roads just east of the mountains with a break midway for a steak and potato lunch. There were 12 tractors of all colors and great weather for going on a ride. As the leader tractor only had half a motor, it was a nice leisurely ride, not a race, and we had plenty of great scenery to enjoy on such a beautiful day.  She was on her D10 and I rode a CA.

Relined the brakes and freed up and lubricated all the linkages on my WD/WD45 tractor.

Not a fun job!!!  One side was easy: the other side anything but!  Finally got 'er dun and now good brakes again.

Fired up my 1940 B for the first time in 3 months on Friday.  (Knee replacement put me out of commission for a spell.)  Took it for a long drive around the neighborhood and then came home and mowed the side yard with the Woods mower.  Gorgeous fall day made even better by some tractor seat time!

Nothing, it rained all day today. Thank goodness it did. I dug a 24" deep trench this week. It was powder all the way down.

I used my D17 diesel to pull start my friends JD 70 diesel that had not run in 25 plus years after we checked all fluids and made sure the engine was free. It popped right off within 3 feet. It had been sitting in his dads shed since he passed away in the 90’s. We have been cleaning it and changing fluids for 2 days. Neat ole tractor even if its green.

I think they are crude but there's a soft spot in my heart for those 2 lungers. One working in the distance is a neat sound.

I grabbed this steering knob off of a Massey in a junkyard recently and
added it to my B this weekend.  I hope the pic comes through.  It's a
pretty neat little piece!

Nice steering wheel knob Tim . Sometimes wonder if one would be useful on my non power steering D-15 ? Which I used today pulling our 6' disc harrow . Also wonder where you'd mount a steering wheel spinner ? Bottom of wheel ? Thanks !

Steve, your right they are crude but I have come to appreciate it over the past week. Pretty cool that you don't have to split the tractor to replace the clutch. Brakes are simple to replace. And that diesel 2 banger has some massive torque.

ACinSC, My B is definitely not power steering!  But the little guy is really easy to
turn.  I put the spinner knob on the bottom spoke of my 3 spoke steering wheel.  It
seems to work perfectly.
