I'm a little confused, as usual. The pistons and sleeves are similar in design between the G-230 and G-262, but they sure aren't the same. If you put the wrong ones in a given short block, the stroke of the crankshaft is different between the two engines...………..

Iam talking Allis engines not Chevy.     You can put 262 sleeve in a 230 Block
but you have to bore bottom of block .020 bigger.     I am a Ex Allis mechanic
on my own.    For any one that wants to put a 8.3cummins in a 8000 series Allis
all you have to do is get a 7140 IH flywheel and turn Allis rear plate around and
re drill holes. put starter on battery side. and a few other things. I have
done 3 so far one is going on 15 years ago   no troubles makes a tractor out of them.   Get a drive disc made and throw the # torque limiter as far as you can

You can put 262 sleeves in a 230 block if you bore bottom 020 bigger.    I really looking for 230 or 262 sleeve & pistons.  I will make one or other work if I can find ether one.  Some one had a post on here in Wisc. said he had some but I cant find it back. This forum is hard to navigate.

Try searching for stuff in the forum by using Google. Go to Google.com and type in allis chalmers forum and then what you are looking for. I have had much better luck finding things that way.

I have new pistons and sleeves for G262 and know I have some NOS sleeves for G230. Not sure about NOS pistons for the G230, but I think there are some. I will try to take a look today. pfoutsfamilyfarm@gmail.com
