A 180 is for sale locally being advertised as a “tobacco special”. What is the TS? Some quick responses on Facebook came up with wider axles, lower, and slower gears. The one advertised doesn’t look any wider or lower in the pictures. How can I properly identify a TS?

Do you know the size of the rear tires?

I'm thinking a high crop, with 38" rears.

One comment on Facebook claimed they are 38” rears with tall front tires. Pics don’t appear to be 38s but there’s some debate on originality of the advertised tractor

The 6000 series had a wide axle option - the only Tobacco word I remember..associated with tractors.

I have seen them in NC. I thought they had tall front Spindles and 15.5x38's for working tobacco plants.

This particular one advertised has 18.4-30 rear tires on 5 rib spin out rims. Front spindles appear to be normal in the pics but I don’t know what sort of a variation we are looking for.   It also has a black dash cover, and a shallow front grill screen. Does this make it a late model or parts from a 185? Most seem do have an orange dash cover in pics? It also has a tall air cleaner stack above the hood, which seems to be hit or miss in pics of 180s.

Sounds like it could be a more desirable 185. Look at the housing just behind the frame to see what is stamped on it. 30” was more common on the 185’s, I didn’t know they were even available on a 180?

Marzer: Did your 190 take the short bus from the factory?🙀
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

My 180 came with 15.5/38 tears and 7.50 /20 fronts ordered to cultivate tomatoes
