I am now looking for a crankshaft for my HD5. The machine shop said mine can not be turned.  Any help is appreciated

There are crank grinders out there who carry stock. Effingham Regrind used to be one of those. They would likely have your crank and gladly sell one out of stock. They would know where you could get one too.

Have complete engine will sell - unsure of how good it is as never stripped it down - head , block , crank  would like to get $600 for the lot - might take care of your head problem also

Contact Northern Tractor in Osseo, MN. I looked at several 2-71's sitting in one of his storage buildings several weeks ago. He has a large inventory of AC HD-5 parts.
