Anybody on the forum looking for a HD5 rad? I work for a company that makes heavy duty cooling systems and one of the Customer Service guys (he knows I "collect" AC stuff)told me we had an inquiry. Kind of on the small end for us but would be fun to build. It looks to be about the same size as my D17 rad.
Anyway I thought I would check in here and see if the inquiry came from someone on the forum.

cheers,
Creek

Size is around the same as a 46/47 Chev as far as height and width but 3 times as heavy and thickness - I had a brand new chev one and used it on HD5B I had but created overheating problem when worked -
I found a good used one from Thill Tractor in Eau Clare WI - but that was years back

My HD5 has a weak radiator needed repair every other year. Repair shop said it was done,I begged for one more fix as no money for a recore then so he fixed once more.Leaking a year later and took it back for a rebuild as I had more money, now says I can fix that . Been good for several years now,but run very few hours.

Looks like it was not a forum member, our CS dept said the owner was 93 years old and wanted to fix the rad good so he wouldn't have to bother with it again.
We don't normally do small rads like this, but we will give him a price. Our construction is very heavy duty and therefore pretty pricey, we normally start at 1000 hp engines, unless it is a severe application like underground mining or remote genset.
cheers,
Creek
