Been a while since I've been on the forum. I've got a question about the inner tie rod assembly for my 200. I bought one a while back from AGCO and other than it's about an inch shorter than original it works. Now I ordered one for the other side and it shows up with the tube being too big to get it to clamp down even with the factory clamp and an added ubolt. And the nut and threads on the tie rod end is metric. I sent it back to the dealer and they ordered another and got the same thing again. Anyone else run into this? The one I got from AGCO earlier is a little shorter but fits. After markets is even shorter when looking at specs and some look the same as the new AGCO ones with a blue oring holding the rubber boot in place.

Doesn't anyone make one like the original with the length from center of joint to tube end being around 18-1/2"? I may just build my own.

Lonn, a question on the inner tube being too large, is it possible that it fits their new outer tie rod end?  Maybe dealer parts person could call a warehouse or another dealer that has outer 1/2 in stock and ask its diameter.
Ya know, Like if AGCO or part Manufacturer have decided to build a heavier tie rod?

A couple years ago my dealer didn't have tie rods in stock for my 180, so ordered a set from ASAP. They're identical in appearance to the old ones, except not bent, worn & rusty.

What part number did you order. There’s two different sets.
254662 and 254661 are for 50” min tread width
250141 and 250140

Chris, I forgot to mention that I also bought the outer male solid tie rods and the solid male tie rods are exactly like the originals and do not fit that new tube. The dealer parts guy said he was going to call AGCO to see what's going on.

The difference isn't much as far as the inside diameter of the tube but clearly too large to fit the male rods.

Mike, the 662 and 661 are the ones I got, I think. I'd have to look at the boxes. I got both inner and outer rods.

I've got a new one that I would sell. It's the female end for a 200 and other models. $20.00 plus the ride. Can bring to Hutch,Widlunds, or Albert City.

I bought some for my XT. They were sent with a new coarse threaded bolt for the clamp. The coarse threaded bolt would not clamp tight enough to lock the inner and outer tubes together. I do not remember where I got them. I still had the original bolts with the large nut and fine threads so I reused them and it has been OK since then.

Howdy Lonn!!
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.
