    Posted: 19 Jun 2021 at 4:39pm
Hey y’all..been a little bit since I’ve posted but like most of y’all last year was absolutely atrocious and a lot of times I need social media break. But our fellow farmer/AC collector and neighbor just south of us about 15 miles decided earlier this week along with Bobby Vause of Vause Equipment,Fayetteville NC to put on a little Fathers Day AC gathering at Curtis’s farm since not much happened last year to get some folks together. And it looks like he may put it on next year with a little more broader AC family…he wanted to see how it went this year. And with a weeks notice it went really well…NC and SC were in attendance and brought some of their own, including Dad and I. We’ve known Curtis for years with my dad working for Vause Sr when he was in high school so these farms in central are pretty well connected but I knew Curtis bleed Orange but he bleeds AC green PO1 and PO2. And not just his love for Orange but his collection of Americana in general from AC to Case and Old Timer knives, tools to Rawlings baseball gloves.
I’ve got bunches of pics so I’ll be slow and maybe I can get Chris( Sugarmaker) to help me…which I think this all will be in the Allis Connection too at some point.I got most of these Friday before anyone showed up in the shots. The black AC is his NC Soldier Memorial tractor he takes everywhere. Then his AC car that has to take a horse jockey to drive and the famous Prototype D18.

I really like that D21.  The front tires on it look like they would be the same size as the rears on my 5020!  Very nice collection there, wisht I could make it!

MD, the one picture with the 8070, center rear wheel weights, faded cab, is that Bobby’s? Sure looks like my neighbors 8070 that I completely serviced and installed a new Pioneer stereo in a few years ago. Bobby bought it and a 180 gas from him shortly after I did that work for him. I saw his 4W-305 at the NC farm show, its sweet with that big Cummins in it.

Great pictures MD, single wheel front end must have been popular in NC for vegetable farming I’m guessing?

Here’s Waukesha B…can’t recall the serial right off but I believe it’s under 10. And then the Allis car again and a herd of pedal cars, bikes and Allis chainsaws.

Next one in line for recovery is another WD45,tricycle no less😂 and on into the man cave, resto room, getaway or what I call the Heavenly Green Room complete with kitchen, original dealer parts bins,a library of manuals, pool table, vintage Rawlings baseball gloves, collection of Allis belt buckles, vintage tools and more importantly for southern NC humidity air conditioning.Last pic is Curtis himself(white shirt, orange rag in pocket talking with Brently another farmer on left who’s family goes waaay back with the Mabe family. And to Brently’s left is probably my favorite Green AC to which I was so excited I forgot to take a pic of the entire tractor which is a pivot machine with dual exhaust to clean the wheel gears.

And I’m sure for next year which will likely be posted in Allis Connection for anyone wanting to come down should definitely bring a tractor or few if you want to and since he’s right off I95 just south of Fayetteville there’s hotels at the south Fayetteville exit HWY 53 which has 3-4 hotels ,Cracker Barrel and other restaurants about 15 min north as does the Parkton exit off I95.
And a HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

A nice collection! Did that 8030 come from around Dunn? I looked at a long axle 8030 for sale there 3 or 4 years ago.
