iowallis, you are welcome. Anything else about your AC 816 that you might want to disclose?

-Engine condition - maintenance? -Hours?
-Trans shuttle?
-Any cylinders leaking at seals?
-Newer cylinder seal kits?
-Tire sizes & condition?
-Cab/seat condition?

Here is iowallis' pm to me to share about some of this AC816's past & present:
"Got some pictures yesterday and tried to start the backhoe today. Of course the battery was low and had no luck in starting it. My dad bought it in the late 70s to put in clay tile and kept it around the farm to do odd jobs. My cousins started a tiling business and used it until they started using a newer backhoe a few years later. I know some major work was done to it around this time, some cylinders rebuilt along with the engine possibly.

Talked to my cousins who were the last to use it regularly and they said they had it running earlier this year. As far as obvious problems at the moment, the torque converter for the shuttle will drain back if it sits for a few weeks and you need to let in run for a few minutes before it will move. The boom will also creeps down over time.

If anybody has specific questions have them PM me and I will contact my cousins who know more about it than I do."

If you have any additional photos that you’d like to have posted here, please personal message them to me & I’lll post them for you.

Here are 12 pictures that iowallis emailed to me to share.

Talked to my cousin, knowing the history for as long as we have owned it he doesn't think it would have 10318 hours on it.

Did it come from the factory with an hour meter? I could see my dad adding it sometime after he got it, seems like he put hour meters on anything that didn't have an odometer that moved.
