Posted ad in classifieds looking for a cab for a 200 and have had several good responses but the topic of what cabs fit has come up and I was wondering if anyone knew what would work and what all will I need as far as brackets, etc. Calvin has a Laporte cab off of a 210 or 220 I can't remember and Gary has a cab off of a 190xt and allisrutledge has a year round cab.

Any cab that came off an XT should fit. The LaPorte 210/220 cab just needs a few different pieces but is overall the same cab as what came with the 200 from factory.

Are the pieces needed something that could be fabricated easily or would I need to locate the right ones?

I would guess that you could fab up just about every part needed but I do not own a 210 or 220 to verify. I do have a 200 with factory cab.

Probably a bit far from you, but Greens has a Factory cab or two on 200's
1 was missing a lot of the windows though.

Redbank, If you got a piece of equipment you have to go to the right side of it often, It gets dam old fast crawling out the left door and walking around to the far side and back again. I have threatened to cut the welds on the right side and fab a door in on the AC cab on the one 200 I have. The other 200 has the Year Around, and all my 190 and XT's have 2 doors and can get in and out on either side. Don't like them single door ones, not even on the thousand series.

No, you can call them and they will send you one with a quote. It's a huge salvage yard, stuff piled on top of stuff...

JC thanks for the advice I have never had a cab tractor and I am concerned about how claustrophobic I am going to feel anyway.

Any of the ones I saw will need repair/refurb. If you want all the A/C and heat items, you need to ask about that.

The 200 factory cab is ROPS rated I do believe.
Not sure if a year-round would be.

The 190 cab is just a coffin if you roll it. Plus you would only have a fan. I have never seen the A/C option.

A factory (LaPorte built) AC 200 cab was quite roomy and pretty darn quiet. Now, after 40+ years, I'm sure the sound deadening insulation isn't like it used to be. Compared to a Hiniker or Year-a-Round cab it was very nice.

Here are 3 photos from a May 1973 AC 200 sales brochure. First photo shows tractor chopping corn. Second photo talks about cab's rubber mounts (was a huge improvement to isolate operator from incoming engine/rear-end frame noises) & other comforts. Third photo list specifications . The optional equipment is listed on the right side with cab (ROPS) info in it's lower right corner.
I feel the 200's factory cab with it's door shape and front glass with lower viewing windows may have been the predecessor to the black belly 7000 series?? Anyone on this forum that used to work at AC factory want to weigh in with their insights?
