I put a new fill plug on the differential/hydraulic housing on my 7030 this weekend to replace the expandable rubber plug that it had. I noticed the AGCO fill plug is vented, and was wondering if it is the only vent for that compartment. If so it would explain some of the seeps of oil that come and go.

My guess is yes. The trans on an 8000 has a breather but 2 separate compartments so that would be the only vent from the rearend.
