I don't have my manual handy. Where was the original ground cable bolted to the AC 170 tractor? Mine at present is at the bolt thru the steering-dash column that bolts to torque tube near clutch pedal, close to rubber mount. Thanks, Tracy

i dont know the original location, but the main purpose of the battery is to crank the starter.. Ground should be as close the starter and grounded to the frame or engine block. trans case, etc.. Dont go thru 2-3 layers of sheetmetal..

The cable is bolted where mine is now. Found my manual and it uses that bolt. I am making me a bracket for my battery disconnect to attach to tractor in that area. Thanks, Tracy
