Took Wife to Black Hills SD, stayed just outside Custer. Nice little Campground with some longer slots.  I pick my fights looking ahead!!

Went from Home to I-70wb to Columbia MO, took US63N to Macon then US 36 W to I-29N at St Joe MO.  Been Warned our Construction zones BAD but KC a nightmare.  On 29 went into IA to Nebraska City and turned again W on IA 2 that becomes NE 2 circles under and bypasses Council Bluffs with Omaha and Lincoln to catch I-80W.  Pretty well Uneventful, a few Potty and Snack stops. out to Grand Island.  Switched back to NE 2 and stopped at a Wally World Parking lot, next to a Culvers, had a light late lunch and early dinner.  On W on 2 out to Broken Bow where I had called ahead and had permission to Stop and use camper on the Trotter's Whoa and Go TS for the Night.  Had a DQ nearby, some cooling Ice Cream for a Late Night Snack.  Next Morning got Donuts at Trotters and Coffee, then off to the Sand Hills Country.  Stopped Last at Alliance for Fuel took 107 gal 782 miles.

Wife finally got Bored and Crawled into Bunk as entered Sand Hills and was Same view FOREVER.

7.3mpg Roughly, at Alliance.  Switched onto US 385 N to Hot Springs then on up to Custer.  Picked up grocer Items at Lynn's Dakotamart then up to Camp.  Owner knew what size we had, Not an issue.

Big Ponderosa Pines, however pollenating, nice facilities, Camp Shower and Toilet Building just a few sites away.  Living the Dream again.

My Little Honey enjoying Her Birthday and our Anniversary Vacation.

Did trip around Custer St Park Wildlife Loop, She got to see Boofoolows, Antelope, and Prairie Dogs, we stopped at the Park Buffalo Center, then made the Back Roads Runs up Iron Mtn Hwy to Rushmore, over to 385 and Down to Crazy Horse Monument back to Camp via the Needles Hwy.  All Spectacular.
Next Day repeated Wildlife Loop saw Herds of Buffalo, with Calves.  Went out to Hermosa then up to Rapid City & Sturgis, toured the frequented stops for Bike Weeks there, stopped at Harley Dealers and bought unnecessary crap, rode along the streets that will be consumed of the Sturgis Event and toured the Motorcycle Museum.  Weather was changing, decided Back to Camp as were some 80 miles out.   Was 72 Daytime at Camp, 92 at Rapid City and Sturgis where dropped back ten degrees as soon as got back in hills.  Down thru Deadwood and Lead, turned onto 385 and did not expect Road Construction.  Pilot Cars, NO Pavement and rains sneaking in, sat seemingly forever getting sprinkled on.  Found out from Camp Owner been Under Construct for 14 miles worth for FOUR Years,  Temps at Night dropped into 40s, wife actually had me start furnace.  At Hill City Construction was done, back to Camp.

Light Dinner and EARLY sack out, Altitude, Weather, Miles on Scooter was TIRED!!  As got up Wednesday was raining North and a slight bit West, sat around on Coffee and breakfast for awhile checking news and weather, Site has FURNISHED Cable TV.  Got back on Bike and off on Hwy 16 W to Newcastle WY then up to Moorcraft up to Devil's Tower, clear, warm, some wind.  Got to NPS Gate at Monument, just a Pass thru, head up to NPS Parking to view and got stopped at a traffic Light.  Was around twelve to fourteen cars ahead of us when Stopped, soon as six or so cars came out six got a green light then back Red.  Two swaps and at Parking.

As left the Parking area, Traffic had backed up to a Two Miles from stoplight sign.  Over to Belle Fourche where rolled around thru town, then over to Spearfish and had a Picnic Lunch at City park.  Left the park went to Spearfish Canyon, VERY Scenic Ride, down back to Newcastle then into Custer.  Thursday stuck around Custer, Shopped, Snacked, had Trash Can Nachos at Rushmore Brewing and a Flight of Five Beer Samples,  VERY NICE Place, great employees.  Then back to Camper, short cleanup and back out to Purple House Creamery, for Ice Cream and a Slice of take Home PIE.  Friday did a little sightseeing around the Southern end of Hills and started loading things back up.  Sat Morning Drained tanks, cleaned up waste lines and put all connection gear away.  Stowed Bike and was headed out quarter to 8.  Thru Custer back to 385, N to Hill City, to Hwy 16 to Rapid City then onto I-90E.  Stopped at Wall Drug, not impressed, dropped down and toured thru Badlands NP, MOUNTAINS of White Fire Clay, can see why BAD Lands.  Loop dropped us at 90 and on E.  Had noted to Stop at Rest Area at Chamberlain, just as Cross MO River, Statue and Lewis and Clark Visitor Center we perused of.
 Dignity of Earth and Sky:

A MUST See!!

Back on 90E, to Sioux falls to I-29S to Sioux City and thru Council Bluffs, got as far as Nebraska City at Hwy 2 Called it a Night.  Parked at Sapp TS, after Fueled, 784 miles on Odometer, 7.8mpg 100.7 Gal.  Next day Breakfast there, then on to St Joe back to Macon and back to Home.
