Need to get parts for this 540/1000 rpm pto project and I'm wondering how many different models can we get salvage PTO parts from for the 8070. I've read that 7040-7060 pto's can be used..what about 7030, 7000, 7010? If any kind soul who's already done this wants to give me a basic run down of parts needed and any tips I would be thrilled

| 7010-20-30-40-45-50-60............8010-30-50......Get everything... clutch assembly and both lower shafts. Install two new seals and an Oring on the bottom when assembling. |

| So we got the parts finally and after putting everything back for some reason we have oil flowing through the shims at the top of the pto brake cover right where oil tubes run. We have replaced the small O-Rings and the shims are new.. Any ideas about what could be going wrong?? It seems to me like the small o'rings that go between the pto brake cover and the adapter are not large enough to get past the shims and seal. We've tried removing shims and that doesn't seem to help.. we are wondering if there could be a restriction in the oil flow or what else could have changed. |

| Be careful removing what the manual calls the "adapter".. It's between the pto brake cover tractor housing. At the top where the oil tube/lines go through it's very thin and easy to crack as we found out. Just an FYI. Kept us from taking our newly purchased 8070 to the field for yet a couple more days. |

I changed my 8070 over to the 2 speed and can't get mine to stop leaking. Ive done it 3 times and had the agco dealer did it 2 more times and checked it yesterday and it's still has a couple drips under it. I don't feel bad if the local agco dealer who has a guy who has an 8000 series of his own can't get it to stop leaking. I've done it so many times I know all the parts number by heart. There's a lot of orings And if you knick one your in trouble. Works good but there's a tiny bit of oil on the shafts yet.
