I've done about 10 hours of dozing since I got it running.
After filling the manual trans, I had to filling the filter housing directly. Tranny pressure came up at that point and was consistent when I was in gear. Pressure was rpm dependent and behaved as I would expect (less pressure when the tranny warms, more pressure when cold).
After it sat for a week or two, no tranny pressure. I drove it for a few minutes hoping it would work itself out and it didn't. I primed it again at the filter housing and pressure is very inconsistent. It drops sporadically like it has air in the line. It has steady pressure when in reverse . It also seems to have better pressure when on an incline with right side of dozer higher. On an incline with the left side of the dozer higher, I have zero pressure. The pipe from the trans filter to the sump meets the tranny on the left, so that would suggest that the fluid is low.. I have at least a half gallon more than the spec notes in the tranny.
My concern is no fluid getting to the bevel gear via the sump.
How would I bleed this sump or can I?

More info that might allow someone to make an educated guess on my trans pressure question.
The parts manual shows multiple sump configs. Near as I can tell, considering the quality of the drawings, is that I have the wet sump (page 296 of the parts manual (HD 11 prior to serial number 12000). My serial number is 8878.
The only screen that I see is part 098940. That screen is in the bevel gear compartment. Can I clean this screen (assuming that it's still in one piece) ? FYI, Minnpar only wants $708.16 for this screen.
Based on the drawing, the sump sends fluid to the bevel gear but that fluid does not have a return. That seems odd...
My only concern is very intermittent trans pressure. I'd like to give the machine as long of life as possible and if there is anything I can do, please point me in the right direction.

Check the piping for cracks. Sounds like it is drawing air.

I crawled under the 11 today and wiped off all the piping. I ran it a while in neutral and checked for leaks. I found 1 drip in the compression fitting next to the filter housing..
It took a while to bleed the air out of the lines, but it appears to be good steady pressure now.
