Anyone have a clue to what these shields fit? They measure 31" x 24"
Thanks

Possibly a power unit of some kind, maybe the UM 40, or a K or M dozer?

I agree with Seth, went on a 33 picker to cover the engine.

they are not for a wd or wd45. might go on older tractors or crawlers.but for sure not picker shields.

I concur, picker shields for the WD/WD-45 were always curved edges/contoured, not a perfect rectangle like these.

Those shields are for a power unit, they have the u-hooks on the top and have the spring locks on the bottom!
I don't know which power unit but are built the same as a 149 and 160 power unit I have

Was doing some search on other shields and ran across my old post of these shields. I still haven't found out what they were used on... But all the shields I have seen on A-C power units did not have the spring loaded hooks at 45 degree angles... Like these are. They were straight down and likewise for most of the crawlers too. Might have been for a Road grader or something different. There is a bump out in the one shield for something. Dave E., my repair parts list book shows the shield was hung and then bolted at the bottom, unless the HD7 were updated... just letting you know...I haven't seen nothing in near 4 years of posting this thread. Thank you to all those that tried to identify these shields. JC

They are too short for picker shields. Are they off the power units used on carnival rides??

They cover the sides of the engine to keep it clean and make it safer!
Now as to what they FIT, I have no idea. Did you try one on a D series tractor?

I have looked through scads of literature on power units and industrial equipment in the A-C line and never ran across the diagonal latches... Starting to wonder if they may have been off some Case or Austin Western or something like that...

Might be. Don't know if its faded paint, my computer, or my eyes, but the color looks a little off, from PO#1, certainly not PO#2, or corporate orange...

Well Dave, I washed one of the shields and seems the paint doesn't look
'clean' in the depths of it, like the painters didn't care and there's
like dark streaks in it too... But the paint sure is close to the 1936 L
crawler's paint. Really makes me wonder what they were for with the upper
attachment being hooked on inside lip under the hood and the diagonal
latches hooking into frame or some other attachment. Here are some more
pics under different lights and angles. ... "certainly not PO#2, or corporate orange..." an thats a fact.
