New to this site and was wondering if anyone could tell me where a good place to buy Drive Sprockets and Track Chains for my 1987 Fiat Allis, FL7? I live in South Central Illinois. I might be interested in used parts if they are in really good shape. Thanks

Look up track shops in your area - or heavy equipment dealers - they should be able to get parts - or New Holland dealers as they now handle the FA parts . Could try Thill Track and Tractor in Eau Clare WI - Northern Tractor in Osseo MN Also try Rock and Dirt web site for parts or salvage .

Thanks Coke, I tried the local New Holland dealer and they just handle farm equipment and are not allowed to order heavy equipment parts. Got a couple emails out to a couple other places but no response yet. Got plenty of Cat dealers within a couple hours drive but didn't think they could do me any good. Will keep trying...

Cat track shop should be able to help but unless they are running some kind of special don't expect and price break. Could try Crawler Welding in Mankato MN also - might be able to get them and drop ship to you

A old friend took me through the Cat plant in Peoria back in the '80s. That day they were making track parts for JD. Guess it's all on a bid basis, at least it was then.

Some of the crawlers of today like JD are on Caterpillar track John. An owner told me his tractor (JD 850 I think) came on D5 track. Down here, it was way better pricing to buy the replacement track from Cat than JD.
