hey all just registered and am new to the tractor scene. I'm helping a co-worker with his early 40's HD-7 tractor dozer. I was able to find some good info from this site just from trolling google. so I decided what the heck and joined up. I also ordered a parts manual for this machine today. so as soon as it gets here I will be able to identify part numbers and such. I found good info here referring me to a gentleman in new Zealand for roller parts. I have found with the most minimal searching that the parts for this machines undercarriage are hard to come by. so I would like to extend my hand in continued life blood into the dedication of these machines in the hope that some people have the mentality of not throwing everything away, which is not the mentality that Americans should live by. so I am going to help my friend to get his running and intern he has agreed to let me use it. I have access to a small milling machine, and soon to have a lathe I hope. I have thought about possibly reverse engineering some of the track parts but this will take time. I have one bottom roller apart right now and the bearings are gone, the races are chewed in half and the shaft they are pressed onto is damaged also. its a shame that this stuff is so hard to come by, cause this machine is a workhorse. so consider this my introduction, and I look forward to good informative talks with fellow ac enthusiasts. I've seen a few others posting on here from Missouri so that is definitely a positive for me. maybe someday ill own an ac myself. thanks in advance for any help I may need. regards, josh

Is a fellow in Boise ID, General Gear that may be able to help with some used parts, also try Hector Gemme, he may pipe in with his two cents from Canada as he may have some pieces in his stock.
BTW, Welcome

Just a thought but does anyone have a detailed picture of the bottom rollers on an HD-7 ? I have some of the roller we took off but I think that it is so far gone and I'm missing some important pieces.

hoochie, I have a good clean factory shop manual covering HD7 ,10 &14 Allis Crawlers, Baker and Garwood blades & pumps. Also Detroit engines used in these machines. I am thinking $50.00 for it. Could send you a photo of it if I had your E Mail address. John

I posted a HD7 for resto/parts last week. It's in your area of MO. I uploaded pics tonight. Are you still working on the resto?
