Anyone change the ring gear in an I-600 with forks on the front.
Just finished taking the starter off and the drive plus casting on the end of the starter
was  broken and some small pieces of the casting had fallen down.
Procedure for spliting to repair. thanks
Fred

I would think the ring gear would be the same as a D15 tractor.  I bet that a ring gear to a 149 or 160 gas engine would work as well.

Procedure should be pretty straight forward.  Pull cowl, radiator, stabilize tranny and torque tube.

Secure engine crane and attach engine lift to head, disconnect four engine bellhousing bolts and slide engine back.

Flywheel will be exposed.  Order new ringgear heat and install let cool.  Reverse process.  An service manual would also be helpful.

Last please make sure you work safely.   Good luck
