The seal in the track adjusting cylinder went out and now the track won't tighten. Do I have to split the track to change this, or is there another way? I'm not sure how far the rod goes in there, or how much slack I'm going to need to get it apart. Thanks guys.

Track adjuster will come out without splitting track- you may have to block the idler, but you just have to lift the front of the adjuster after freeing it from idler pins, then the inner fork will come out past rear of idler and chain near the top.  There should be plenty of room when adjuster is retracted.  Seals are available from Henderson or Minnpar.
