A buddy has a tl-14 with the gas 262. Hasn't ran in awhile. Put a new manifold and gaskets on it and soaked the carb and cleaned it out. Won't even attempt to start even with ether. Anyone have a schematic for the coil wiring? He got new points and condenser but needs to install. Any other ideas?

I would say install the points and condenser first and go from there. As long as the wiring hasn't been messed with, it should fire and run. If still no spark, start at the Ignition switch with a test light and move forward from there. Should be able to find the problem..

He called me again and asked " is it true AC's are positive ground?" To which I replied laughing and said no wonder it won't run lol
