I found all the replacement parts for the Rockford clutch in my HD5 dozer and I'm about ready to put it back in the machine. The clutch was pretty well destroyed when I pulled it apart and the pressure plate assy was only hanging together by one spring clip.

So my question pertains to the 3 spring clips, PN 030805. Apparently, they were used on tractors prior to 17675. I have all new camshafts to go inside the clutch assy and don't know how to re-attach the spring clips to the pressure plate.

Are the 3 spring clips all that the holds this clutch assembly together until it is bolted to the flywheel?

Thanks

The spring clips 030805 go with pressure plate 073641 If you have the newer pressure plate the assembly is held together with (3) 5/16 - 24 x 2.75 bolts, nuts and coil springs. The clutch assy. may have been upgraded. If I remember correctly that is all that holds the assembly together.

Yes, it's definetely the older Rockford clutch. I think you are right and the spring clips are all that holds it together.
