automatic trans fluid 10W. Any of the dexron grades will do. 9 quarts in them I think

Are wet clutches only on HD6GB machines? Do wet steering clutches have stronger springs that require hydraulic power for the throwout bearing? If not can an earlier HD6 be converted to wet steering clutches and master clutch?

Wet master clutch conversion should be no problem, but the wet steer clutch tractors had some slight differences in the rear housings. Years back, I tried to fit the fine spline bevel gear shaft and pinion shafts to my dry steer HD6 (with the coarse spline shafts). Wouldnt work because the shaft bearings had different outside diameter. The wet steer tractors had bigger bearing bores.
To make an HD6G wet steer, I thought of fitting the 6G frames and loader assembly onto an HD6EP. You would then have hydraulic steer and power shift trans. Be a very formidable little loader. Be no yellow equipment come anywhere near you.
