I'm trying to add a load sensing closed center valve for a loader on an 8050. I currently have it tee'd directly at the pump. This obviously is not correct because I have to move the loader lever to actuate the rear remotes. My question is: is there a plug in the original valve I can remove for load sensing? or to pick up pressure to the loader valve. Or does anyone know how to correctly plumb this. I thought I understood how this would work. Man was I wrong. Thanks in advance guys.

You need a check valve instead of a T in your load sence line.

You need to T into the load sencing line (the smallest line) and hook to your loader valve, then T into pressure line from pump. MACK

Mack, I currently have it that way and it's not working. I think the issue is that the load sensing oil can take 2 different paths and its taking the easiest one. The check valve would not correct this either if I understand it right. Thanks for the help.

The load sence check valve is a T with a check ball in it. The oil comes from the loader or the remotes and goes into the block. The little ball inside will shut plug the line for the valve stack when using the loader then will move to plug the loader when using the valve stack. We have to put them in when connecting hydraulic auto steer on our tractors.

Is that the valve you we're reffering to?

A load sensing valve should have check valves already in the valves load sense line preventing back pressure from another circuit. The pressure, return and load sense all tee together.
It sounds like the the new valve is not a load sensing valve.

The photo in the earlier post looks correct. When you shake it then it should rattle, the two ports that rattle is where oil goes into the "T", the third is where oil exits the "T".

The check valve shown is not what would be needed if a check valve was needed. I pilot check blocks the flow in one direction only, and the pilot when pressurized allows flow to go in the reverse direction. Not what is needed.
If a check valve is indeed needed, a straight 1/4 in check valve allowing only flow from the load sense port on the valve to the load sense port on the pump.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their help. In the end everyone was correct. The loader valve did not have a check valve. I put a check valve in the load sense line at the loader valve and now everything works as it should. Thanks again for all your help.
