Had someone today ask me what I'd want for putting a B or C (he wasn't sure which) back together.  Guess his father in law whp reciently passed away was certain the old girl had a tick in her and pulled the head to see.  Was a runner before.  Any idea what to charge to get her back together and running?  Guess I had $200 plus all parts in my head.  He's going to bring it to me, I'm just the labor.  Any thoughts?

What happens if it not just a simple re-assembly?  What happens if something is major wrong in the bottom end?  I'd be concerned with what I don't know since you didn't hear it run before.  Just make sure everyone is on the same page.  Maybe charge by the hour with an estimate of how long it will take with no unforseen problems.  Charging by the hour will protect yourself.

Charge by the hour as your customer may want to add more work, and them more work.Tongue

Time and material , with a not to exceed cost , and that if you figure is $200 labor would be $500 not to exceed cost.
One way to make enemies is to find out there are more problems than you thought and then find out YOU SAID $200 .
