My series I D17 is losing oil from the hydrualic system and it's ending up in the transmission. I suspect the hose for the lift arm cylinder is the cuprit. Is there any way to be sure before tearing into it?

We were having problems with the original pump and finally it stopped working, so we swapped it for a good used pump. The one we pulled was missing the screen and looked like someone had worked on it before. After swapping pumps everything was back  tp normal and then it got to where you had to hold the lift lever as for up as it will go for it to lift, now you need to run the traction booster lever all the way up for it to lift. Is this a linkage issue ? The pump seems to lift fine once it is engaged.

It is either the hose or cylinder seals......either way it has to come apart.
