Any good solution to a good fix. Tried black silicon and let sit for 8 hrs. Was brand new from A&I and was fine for the first 3 times. Ran a little and cleaned out junk. Now wont seal. Frusterated in the new yellow paint of the D 21. Any suggestions? Thanks leaking in WA.  Darryl ------------- B 10 Custom. | On the last 14 we are working on I need to take the bowl off in order to install the missing side panel. The bowl would never seal again even after three new gaskets. Andy put a used houseing on the tank we had, one of gaskets we had been using, the same bowl and it stopped leaking. Upon looking , the old housing was damaged in the past and by some luck it had been working until I needed to remove the glass. Perhaps you have the same problem and need to replace your unit all together. |

I ran into the same thing on my D17D. Got a new bowl and it leaked worse than the original. Then I noticed the nut on the bail was not centered. Sometimes there is a slight burr on the glass bowl that needs sanded down. Over tightening can warp the pot metal casting and it will never seal without chucking it up in a lathe and facing the gasket area back flat. You can check the fit of the bowl to the casting without a gasket. If it doesn't fit flat and true, it won't seal.

| The silicone will start disintegrating and will clog everything up. I went to a local small engine shop, bought a small sheet of cork gasket material and cut a new gasket. |
