I’ve been around and have many older Allis Chalmers however; I’m not very familiar with the smaller D series tractors. I’m just looking for some input on this tractor. I was originally looking for an Allis that was a newer with a little more horsepower and a little more compact but I came across this one on Craigslist and I had a few questions. Are there loaders available for the D14’s? If there are, are they worthwhile or impartial over a newer loader? Also what size bush hog would easily be used on this tractor? I have a Woods L306 that I would be very interested in putting on it but I haven’t seen to many of the smaller D’s with an L306 on and I was wondering why? Also I believe the claimed “3 point hitch” seems to be nothing more than an aftermarket attachment attached to the arms rather than the original snap couplers. Is this a practical 3 point hitch or not?

Bit pricey if you ask me.

To run a modern full hydraulic loader you will need to add a front mounted pump with the oil tank in the loader frame

Looks like it has Power steering though

Most L306/L59 mowers run off the side pto pulley. Dont believe the D14 has one, you may be able to obtain the Allis D14 mounting brackets and rear pto pulley from Woods.

I pull a 6' brush hog behind my D14, handles it well. It also will run a 6' 2-stage snowblower and a 6' rototiller equally nicely. It does not appear that the hitch is a true 3-point as I do not seen anything connected to the lift arms to the implement.

I'm with Charlie, the tractor is overpriced and requires better hydraulics for a full function loader; beelieve an Allis 400 series loader would work, but you would need a front pump and controls for it.

I've got two D-14s..but $4000 is pricey for that one, though it does have power steering( you'll NEED it if you mount a loader !). One of mine had a Freeman 14(?) loader real hard to steer, and hung out front a lot.Had a trip lever to dump the sh1t.

Good rear tires are pricey though I use 13.6x26 'combine' tires and rims( a LOT cheaper).Fronts are only about $80 installed here..

Most D-14s pop out of 3rd when letting off the gas,some(mine) leak oil from the rear lift,oiling the brakes......

That's NOT a real 3point, looks homemade.Mine couples to the snapcoupler hook, and the lift latches are missing on 'yours'.

Depending on prices in your area it might be a deal at $1500-$2000 but not $4000.
