WCs are also my favorite. We have a '38 WC that makes right at 60 horse power. That's a pony or two more than it made in 1938!! Kip

60 horsepower? Wow! I thought more around 35 40. I like your collection. What do you prefer? Unstyled or styled? I personally like styled.

Haha no doubt. How similar are the wcs to to the wds aside from the hydraulics?

Here's a pic of my styled WC named "Hercule's". The reason I named him that is because the previous owner used to use him to brush hog the property of Hercules Powder Co.'s site. I thought the name fit quite nicely!

Notthing from the bell housing back is the same . Steering wheel and PTO drop box on the later WC's might be the same as WD .The WD  was a BIG jump up .

Can't say I've ever seen one of those. Is that a earlier version of the road grader?

Not true, the fenders are most definitely the same ;)

Your WD would look funny with WC fenders without mounting brackets cut off them ..Also do not fool your self into thinking  the fender shape is 100% the same  from late WC to WD !!.

Is it easy to raise the blade on the grader with those hand wheels or is it pretty stiff.

This is my own barn find.  Belonged to my great-grandfather.  Hasn't been run in about 30 years, but will never be sold.  Still have the #10 two-row cultivator for it too.

Maybe someday...

Wow that's nice to have something in the family so long.  Any hope of getting it running any time soon?

This is my 1944 taken at the Orange Spectacular a couple years ago.  I still need to take pictures of the 1934 WC301 I bought a couple weeks ago.

So what is it Brian? a 34 or  a 35? Do you know the serial number? I'm interested because of the RV4B mag. I have been told they weren't used on 35's and others say they were.

Charlie, I've got the serial number written down... darned if I can remember where I put it.  I may go out to the farm this weekend and check the serial number; backside of differential right?

I'll try to get a couple more pictures too.  The engine wasn't locked up when I pulled it in the crib driveway 30+ years ago, but it's tight now.  Probably wouldn't take much to loosen it up.

Yep. Bring along a spark plug wrench and some ATF in a squirt can. While you're there, take each plug out and apply a liberal amount of fluid in each cylinder and stick the plugs back in.

Guess I need some updated pics. All I have is a video offloading from the trailer when it wasn't running worth a crap.

Charlie, my WC is a 1936; serial #14981.  Here are a few pictures of the mag, somebody the other day wanted to see a manifold, and I've included a picture of the front wheel.  It's only a 5-bolt wheel which I'm sure was added after the original steel wheels were replaced (somebody ended up stealing the steel wheelsOuch).

That's the same mag I have on my 35 now, it had been converted to a distributor years ago but that was junk when I got her out of the woods. Nice oil filter,  I'd bet the filter hasn't been changed in a few yearsSmile

Charlie,
FYI, I've done a few RV4 Mag's over the years for my customer's, and one of them the customer mentioned the Tractor was a 1935 WC. Not sure what years the other ones I've done were off of but they to were off WC's and one WF....

Here's my rather ugly but great-running '41 that I didn't need but couldn't pass up at an auction. Still trying to decide what I want to do with it.

That's just the way I like tractors. In their original "ugly" ;) state. Gives them personality in my opinion. I work with my neighbor on her old farm and she's getting up in age and I use her farmall H. Love it. Would love to see her get an old orange but the big red sure does the job well!

Hey i was just wondering, is the 5 bolts on every wc wd?  I keep seeing 4 bolts only.  I'm looking to upgrade my 5020 which has small turf tires.  Lawn tractor like, i would like some tires like the ones in my profile picture (which is not my tractor and all credit is to the owner)  My 5020 has a 5 bolts like in your picture.

AC5020, I own an M and I've owned an H too. A lot of descriptions come to mind for an H but "big" would not be one I'd have thought of. Never the less if it's an old tractor they're usually fun to run.

Allis5020,
At one time I believe there may have been some six-bolt front hubs for the WC.  Not sure of the year/timeframe.  Someone else on here I'll bet knows for sure.
