Hi Guy’s Working on a Allis Chalmers C replacing crank shaft seal Does anyone have an aftermarket seal number for the crank seal. Do you put a speedy sleeve on the crank to cover the oil groves so it will not chew up the new seal? It’s a 1947 tractor was the color PO 1. What style of decals did it have the Long A&S or were the letters all the same.

Thank You

Can you make out the no. on the old seal? If so try crossing it here.

Also alittle more research and you can somtimes change the thickness of the seal, say .313 thick  and cross it to a seal that is the same in every dimesion except it is only .250 thick whitch should repostion the sealing lip an area other then the grooved area without the need of a speedy sleeve.

you can dimensions to find seals here.
