I plowed our garden a couple weeks ago with my B, last night I went and took it off and put sickle mower on part way.  What do you guys use for the spacers where it mounts to the drawbar? are they like washers or a thick spacer?  my pitman arm is broken, will make a new one this afternoon with a piece of oak. My swath board is missing, anyone have diamentions so i can make a new one as close to origonal as possible?

I have a second sickle mower bought less than an hour away but it is missing alot of parts.

also what size belt do I need?

I also need the S hook for the lift mechanisim and PTO pully

Thanks

Lots of questions.  Let's give it a whirl.  First, there were brackets that fit the mower frame to the top of the draw bar.  After that to adjust the belt large flat washers were used.  In some rare cases we put the mower frame below the draw bar to keep the belt tight.  As to the pitman be certain you get a good measurement before you cut another pitman rod.  It is necessary for the blades to be timed so that they move from the center of a guard to another guard so that the hay is cut efficiently.  Swath board is not all that important for measurement, however, there was a dowel that rose up from the board to "flip" the hay.  Perhaps someone has pictures of a swath-board to  show.  Belt I cannot help you with.  Perhaps you can call Sandy Lake, they are most helpful, and get the measurements.  Do you have the pulley for the PTO?
If the S hook - if it is what I am thinking - you may want to get an original from an AGCO dealer cause it lifts a lot and needs to be very strong.
Good Luck!

There's a dimensioned swathboard drawing online. If you google it, it should come up. The PTO pulleys can be kind of expensive when you find them. Do you have a single or double belt model?

I may have the 'S' hook, I'll check for you.  Sold my pulley on here a few years back.

Here's a link to Rod in NH's page for the swathboard... http://personalpages.tds.net/~thompson_wp/acb/swathboard/swathboard.htm" rel="nofollow - http://personalpages.tds.net/~thompson_wp/acb/swathboard/swathboard.htm

the Pulley is a 10" diameter.  last year  i bought an original  replacement for one that "walked" away from my mower.  I then found new replacements at a farm store for 1/2 of what I paid for the original.  this was at Orshlens & would have had to have the hub welded in to the pulley.

I think I've still got a couple of NOS pitman sticks around here somewhere.

Your drawbar may sit at an angle. In my case, I have the original "leveling blocks" as I call them, that sit on the drawbar to create a level surface. Once you have the level surface, the mannual calls for 7 (Im pretty sure) washers on either side. The mannaul is floating around online somewhere in PDF format. I lost it when my computer crashed. Like Bill said, you should have something that runs from the fender brackets on down to the drawbar to help support it. The belt needs to be a heavy V belt which should have a part # in the mannual which I believe is still good through AGCO and I forget what diameter the pulley is.

RockyBottom, I have the S hook.  Shoot me a PM and we'll figure out the details.

B hydraulic lift for the mower is the same bundle as for the 60 cultivator hydraulic lift.
