Neighbor asked me to plow a few acres for him. My 200 is unavailable, so I consider using the 210. plow is a 4 x16 2000 monoframe. I have a book for the plow, says wheel tread should be set at 31". That is where the 200 is at plows great, however my 210 is set very narrow at 24" from center, and the wheels are not power adjust. Im not finding jack bolts and moving wheels for about 5 acres of plowing, so I ask... Can I move the hitch on the plow to accommodate the 24" wheel spacing? The book doesnnt talk about this, maybe because it cant be done. I have used the plow on the 210 like this before and it does a terrible job and actually is hard to pull.

YES I HAVE DONE THIS BY MOVENG THR PULL BAR IF I WAS GOING TO PLOW ALOT I WOULD SET THE WHEELS BUT FOR JUST 5/A I THINK IT WILL BE OK. GOOD LUCK TOM

When we were on 38" rows we had the plow hitch set for the tractor tire width, at least I don't remember changing anything just hook up and plow. When we went to 30" rows and set the wheels in I remember we changed the plow hitches and plowed with the same plows and tractors with the wheels set narrow.

I took off the front bottom of my 4x18 and moved the hitch over to put the new front bottom that had been the second bottom landside 18" from the tire right sidewall, with 18.4 tires set for 64" centers. That's as close as they will go and it plowed just fine. Using the differential lock helped take care of off center load, which is hard to plan for because the furrow tire tends to pull better than the land tire, but that also depends on how much stover there is in the field.
Move it over and plow. If the bar won't slide far enough you can unbolt the front plate and move it over more.

i had to plow a few acres one day...instead of changing anything (wheels) out....i just hooked up the 4 bottom, ran down the furrow normally, one of the shares just ran down the furrow, and the back 3 plowed normally! worked for me! i think my 5 bottom would have done the same thing!
