| The spring was broken when I got it last month. I rigged the chain up [idler pulley]. I took on a trail run today & it works good, but while its running the belt is kind of jumpy. Should the belt be tight enough not to jump??? and where do i find a new one when this one breaks. thanks Keith So. Va. |

I think the belts will get a kink in them just from setting and don't run real smooth...the idler spring is there for a reason. You might want to measure yours before it breaks....Agco might have them but they will be expensive (like over $100). They had their own special "twin rope" belts that probably were better, but for a price. I bought one with a close profile (industry standard) from a bearing supply house for around $20 that has worked well. ------------- ALLIS EXPRESS! This year: |

The spring is for constant tension while mowing. The snubber chain is to keep it from bouncing. The manual says to release tension when not in use. Eldon is correct on the belts. | thanks for the replies, it's rigged up on the WD-45. I say rigged because my 45 has a sort of permanant homemade 3pt. it doe's seem to work well & the price was right, it had been in the back of the boss's shedfor over 20 yr!!! He said I could have it, guess I'm a good employee!!!!! Keith |

A good industrial supply house can get you a belt for around $30. I just bought a Goodyear belt from Murdoc Electric in Wichia. The correct belt is a C-103.
