my guess is the front transmission seal; requires a tractor split, but not as serious as it sounds. The slipping probably comes from oil getting on the torque limiter, which resembles a clutch plate. Maybe someone else who knows more than me can correct me if I am wrong, or add in their expertise. Darrel

I suspect that the previous posts are correct.  Fairly easy fix if it is the seal, but takes a little time and front split.  Roll front away, then replace the input shaft seal.  Good time to check torque limiter and flywheel facing.  Of course where do you stop?  If the flywheel is off then I'd check the rear main.  Good luck.

Torque limiter disk was 100$ four years ago, rear main and front trans seal were minor too, split my 8050 for the same dribble, minus the slipping part, got it all back together and it still does it.

Had the same trouble with mine.Replaced the seal and 35 hrs later it's leaking again. Was told now to replace pilot bearing, seal again and check front transmission bearing for wobble.I was told this wasn't a chronic problem with the AC's PS but most of them seem to have this problem now or have already had it.

PS or PD?  If it is a PS I would say it is expensive. My guess if it happened all at once the adjusting nut on front housing in trans came off. Either stripped threads or pulled end off housing.   MACK
