All I lack from installing the engine on my WC is the clutch and flywheel. I have a bunch of the plastic shafts that come with automotive clutch kits but nothing close. I can buy a universal alignment tool but I fear the pilot on the wc is bigger than the tool will go. In my younger years I'd just line it up by sight but I don't want to fight it during installation. Any ideas?

Wrap with tape  to build it up.

Leave all the pressure plate bolts very loose and install the engine. Once it's bolts up you can tighten those bolts from underneath by removing the big square cover plate that shields the bellhousing.

I've got a couple of input shafts laying around that I use to line them up.  For the shipping, I'll send you one.

Aaron I appreciate the offer but I plan to put it in one night this week. Also thanks for the ideas guys. I think I'll try the loose bolts trick.
