I've gone and spent my allowance for the year, already.  At least that's what the wife keeps telling me.  I picked this up last sunday.  I would like to get a manual for it, so I was hoping someone would be able to tell me what model it was.  All the pieces are there (including fertilizer boxes), I just haven't reassembled it after transporting.
Thanks,
Greg

Here it is on the trailer.  We had to "fold" it in half to make it fit.

I need a new hydraulic ram for the planter.  Anyone know the specs for the one I need.  From what I understand, it needs to be 2" or larger and a 2-way.  I don't know how much travel it needs to have; min and max.  Any help, clarification, or correction is appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg

I had one like it, it is a model 500.  A standard 8 inch stroke ram is what you need, single or double acting.   I do have some left over parts for one.

That looks like a real nice planter --- maybe if you are a good boy, you'll get an allowance increase - LOL.

What you don't see in the picture is all the stuff out in the yard.

Jim,
I don't think I have it in me to be that good!  Embarrassed LOL

Besides this planter, in the past 2 months I've also picked up a plow (see it here: http://www.allischalmers.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48232" rel="nofollow - http://www.allischalmers.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=48232 ) and set of rear tires and rims for the D17.  Now I'm not saying the wife is right, I'm just saying that I agree that I've spent a few bucks.

Just tell your wife that you'll plant her a nice field of sweetcorn, and I'm sure that will get you in her good graces.Thumbs Up
