Thanks, guys.
Yep, it had a comfy spot in the back of a shed and only got to get out a few days each year. Recently, it was only getting to see the sun when the shed door opened.
It's a 3x16. A semi-mount is probably a little big for my needs, but its in such good shape that I couldn't pass it up. I must be I'm coming down with something...Allis-itis. From what I've read, here, on the forum there's no cure. All you can do is deal with the symptoms when it flares up.
I had it strapped down pretty good. It didn't move an inch. If I had to do it again, though, I would put it back a little farther on the trailer; get it over the axles a bit more. I was hoping I could butt the tire up against the front of the trailer, but as I started binding the chains, the tire swivelled (per design). I didn't have too far to go so I left it.
I'll post some more photos when it gets to play in the dirt, again.

Just another thought, why do you need two sets of remotes, I don't see any need for two?

The first set is being run up to the front to the controls for the loader. Unless I'm not fully understanding this, which is quite possible, I thought I would have to have another set to work rear-mounted implements.

You could very easily make an angle iron lock up for the loader, and disconnect the hydraulic hoses so you can plug the plow in. I don't think I ever saw anybody plowing with a loader on before though.

Tucker,
Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't know if you can tell in the photo, but the quick connects to the loader are on the hoses not on (what I would consider) the remotes. I don't know if this is backwards or if I don't fully understand it or maybe it doesn't really matter. But, I think, in order to make this work, I'd have to do one of the following:
1. Buy quick connect adapters for the hydraulics hoses so that a male hose could connect to the male remote and then block up the loader every time (or take it off). And then have some extra adapter sets around for any hydraulic implements I want to connect up to the tractor.
2. Switch around the quick connects for remotes and hoses for the loader and then just block up the loader every time (or take it off)
3. Put in a 2nd set of remotes with the quick connect set up so the hoses can snap right into them. I'd still have full functionality of the loader if I wanted to use it (or take it off).
Pat,
Thanks, that's where I figured they'd go. I've seen some tractors that have 2 sets of remotes on them and that's where they've been installed.
Thanks, guys!
Greg

Put a diverter in the line. When the diverter is pussed one way fluid will go to the loader, push the diverter the othere way fluid will go to your implement behind you. They cost from $90 to $110 at implement shops. I get mine surplus in Omaha fo $30. Exact same thing. Use them on my sprayer tractor for guide sysstem on these mountiams in western Wis.

Is your loader full Hyd? Loader up/down, and bucket dump/rollback
If yes does the loader have it's own valve with relief? If so you could plumb it in direct to the Hyd pump and free up your rear remote.

Travis,
Yes the loader is fully hydraulic.
I don't know what you're referring to in regards to having it's own valve with relief. The hydraulics run from the remotes to the bucket control levers (one for height, one for pitch) mounted above and to the right of the steering wheel.

if you have an unused hyd lever, it'll work, just like the 180's when they came out, it had 2 remote holes plugged, i removed them and plumbed fittings in them, now the 180 has dual hyd's. the lever was there, just never used by previous owner! had to lube up the lever a bit as it was almost rusted in nuetural.

Ok I'm assuming for you to use the loader the lever on the right near the 3pt lever has to be held in either the forward or rear position and then you use two separate levers on the loader to control up/down and dump/rollback.
If that is correct depending on the loader valve you can remove the hoses going to the rear of the tractor and get two new hoses made to hook directly to the Hyd pump on the right side of the torque tube. You would unhook the bigger of the two steel lines on the front of the pump and run a hose to the loader valve and the a hose out of the loader valve back to the steel line you unhooked from the pump. This will only work if the loader valve is an open center valve with and adjustable relief.
Confused yet? If you can post a picture of the loader valve that would help.

I can see in his picture above that his tractor does not have a second remote valve nor lines installed. That was a good thought though.

I'll see if I can find a picture of it on one of my other computers, tomorrow...or rather later today.
Here's the controls for the 3-point and remotes (outside=3-pt up/down, inside= 3-pt/remote selector):

From what I can see in that picture of the valve it is set up as I was thinking.
As it is set up now you probably can not use the 3pt while the loader valve is usable can you?
I think I can see what looks like an acorn nut to the left of the up/down lever for the loader and if so that is probably the adjusting screw for the relief valve.

Travis,
You are correct. One of the levers (inside one) next to the seat switches between the 3-point and the remotes. I can only use one or the other depending on where the lever is positioned.

Travis does this help any?
|

Yes it does! That picture helps a lot and now I can see that the loader valve does have an adjustable relief valve.
If you remove the hoses coming from the rear remote going to the loader valve and either replace or modify them you can run them straight to the Hyd pump. By doing this you will gain two things...
1. You will free up the rear remote couplers
2. You will gain the ability to use the loader or the 3pt without first having to activate or de-activate a lever to do so
I can't see for sure, but I'm willing to bet that the port where the hose comes into the loader valve on the far left has the word "in" near it. If that is true you can run a hose from that port to the bigger of the two ports, front inside, on the Hyd pump and the outlet side of the loader valve to the steel line that is unhooked from the Hyd pump and goes to the rear and to the tractor valves. Just make sure you can verify the in and out of the loader valve and adjust the relief valve to around 2000 psi or what the service manual calls for.(I don't have a manual handy at he moment)
If I haven't completely lost you yet I have another idea for the plow tail wheel...

Travis,
I think I understand what you're saying. I don't have the tractor here at the house, so it will most likely be a couple of weeks before I can get to it to verify the ins and outs (this weekend being Easter and all). If you can verify the pressure for me that would be great, too. I didn't get a loader manual when I bought the tractor, just the tractor manual.
So why wasn't it run directly off the pump to start with? Hmm, maybe they figured you, usually, don't use the loader and the 3-point at the same time, anyway.
Thanks for all the time you're spending on this with me.
Greg
