As you can see I have a kind of seat suspension contraption I got off my 1941 wc parts tractor. The "ram" at least to this seems to be made from a Jequipt company. Overall, it looks to good to be homemade. The pan seat itself also appears to be very close to the origional, which is strange. Have you ever heard of this before? I just wanted to know if it is worth keeping or not. I have enough junk for me around here... Any help is greatly apreciated.  |

I think this is whats called the 'monroe' easy ride seat.
Alot more comfortable than the original hard pan seat on WCs. Yes, I drove/rode a WC home 7 miles with the original hard seat and I promise you'll want to keep that. I have a very similar seat to yours that someone rigged up to fit one of my Bs. You are missing the large spring that fits under the seat, I believe. The original WC seat "spring" (not a great picture of the seat, but you can see it and tell that it's not terribly comfortable when you hit a bump):  What's on my B, and probably originally came off of a WC:  ------------- 1939 B, 1940 B, 1941 WC, 1951 WD, 1952 CA, 1956 WD-45 |
