I have the serial no. and think it is a 1972 year. Is there a way to tell how much of the tractor is original, mainly the engine and what ever else though casting no. or serial no.? Dose the 220 have trouble with the transmission jumping out of gear like some other models? Is there a way to track it's previous owners? Thanks, Nella

Our 220 is serial number 1942. Our transmission does not jump out of any gears. ------------- Fred Dunlop, G,B,CA, WC,WF, 3 WD45`s,gas, diesel and LP,U,D10 series III, D12,D14,D15 SERIES II,D17 Series IV in Gas and Diesel ,D19 GAS and D21,170 185,210 ,220 an I-600 8070 fwd, 716H and 1920H |

I am restoring serial 1032 220. It is the 28th one built. The originial engine will be a model 3500 and have a vertical oil cooler with the coolant inlet in the center of the block.
7030's also had a 3500 engine but with the horizontal retangular oil cooler, oil filters on the oil cooler, and the coolant inlet at the rear of the block. ------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed |

If by chance you have sn 2398, I could tell you a lot of history on it. I am still looking for Dad's 220 he bought new in the early 1970s. I have 2072, it has a weak clutch, but no signs of it jumping out of gear. ------------- If it weren't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done! |

Redline There are 41 Allis 220's on the 'Owner Registry'No. 2408 is listed - only 10 away from 2398. Gary

My 2 tractors is a follows. One is close to Calvins. Mine is 1038. Bought new out of Lodi CA. area. 3 point and pto. The other one is 2134. Just PTO with factory cab and was bought new out of Saskatoon Canada. ------------- B 10 Custom. Serial # 1001 D21, First D21 built 69 #4498 and Last D 21 Built #4609. 1946 MM UTU. And 2000, 2005 Pete's. AC custom Hauling. |

| Just checked my 220 serial numbers 1106 1661 1671 1694 2103 2142 2276 2689 2854 They all have original 3500 motors and none of them have transmission problems. 2276 is FWA and the last two 2689 & 2854 are 1972 models w/Allis Chalmers factory La Port cabs. |
