You guys posting all those plowing pics was giving me the itch so i got the 220 out this afternoon and 6 botttom 9000 plow and turned some dirt. Sorry for the shaky video, ever tried to plow and be camera man?

In cruise control on the 220, pulling 6 bottoms in fifth gear. Need a couple more to load the motor a little. Watch at the end of the field. Know what happened? reached over for the throttle to slow down and no throttle lever there! Been 35 years since I plowed with a 190XT but that's where my hand went to slow down at the end of the field, had to make a wide open turn, LOL.

Butch, nice job of plowing your soil is light loam the way it is turning over and crumbling.

Thumbs up! Love the music of the chrome pipe.

Where are the rocks? You can't farm without rocks.

If I put the hitch in the ideal spot it puts  the right tires on land but right beside the furrow. One little steering slip and you down in it fighting your way back out. I tired of that after just a round or two and set the hitch over to run in the furrow. If I was to add one more bottom it should move everything over far enough that I can run on land and some room for steering error,LOL  Probably wont happen as moldboard plowing is strictly recreational type tillage here.

i wish it was dry enought here to turn some soil.  it rained alike craxy a few days ago, and soil is way to wet yet, even with these few sunny warm days.

Nice rig Butch. I never liked them wide open turnsConfused I jumped the fence several years ago when a neighbor was rippin with a CAT Challenger. I rode a round with him and he jumps up outa the seat and tells me to take it. The first turn around I idled back a little and he says,"don't need to do that, just waists time" I made the next couple rounds at full throtle but never felt comfortable. I think I'd end up getting the headlands all uneven from not being consistent, but I guess I might have adapted in awhile???

Charlie I sold out in 1977 and am pretty sure that I haven't even sat on a 190XT since. About half funny and half erie that I would reach to the consol for the throttleConfusedSmile  Guess it shows how much of what we do is more habit than we would like to think it is?? Anyway good thing I was leaving a large amount of room at the ends, LOL

Nice  video Butch, and an even better job of plowing, I love the sound of those big horses. Makes me wish I had something more to do with the 185 other than dragging the tree planter.
