I was looking at John Deeres website checking out their new S690. One important fact I didnt see in the specifications was the WEIGHT of this combine. What does this behemoth weigh?? The Gleaner Super 77 weighs in at 29,740 lbs. and is turning heads. What I couldnt figure out is when I go to Agcos site I really have to search for Gleaner!! Its the last one listed and Agco should promote it ahead of the other ones!! Thank God for the ol school gleaner engineers that still believe in their product!! Ryan

Yeah I can't figure out why gleaner is on the bottom of the list either, and I also cant figure out why the picture is of a R76, when the super 7 has been out for over a year. I do believe the super 7 does have its own website tho. Long live the Gleaner Line.

it weighs like 44000---the class 6 is 38000...deere just shot themselves in the foot with their custom cutter business....in time for the super 7 to take over.....

The reason its hard to find the Gleaner on there website , because Agco is a bunch of idiots. Deal with them,you will understand real quick.Go to there parts page. It doesnt even list Allis Chalmers. There a real bunch of clowns. I cant wait when the yellow is the only one left over here.

I believe it's only a matter of time before the Gleaner line is dropped. Massey Fergusen is the future for AGCO's "ur a peon" management and the next "brand consolidation" will phase out Gleaner even if it's the most profitable line of machinery they have here in NA. If all they have available is Massey branded equipment it will instantly become their best selling brand even if they can hardly give if away.

Does anyone know if all Gleaners and Mf combiness are made in the US, or at least in NA? The article I posted a few days ago about the MF on challenger tracks made me wonder if they have a combine plant in Europe. Are Gleaners sold in South America or anywhere else in the world? Seems like all we see are Cat and MF in other countries.

There are AGCO Combine Plants in Europe and South America for sure. Maybe others, but the combines we have here are all built in Hesston KS

Looked at a new S680 the other day. On the back tow hook the big casting that the rear axle pivots on said MADE IN CHINA. Go figure!

I dont know all the laws about hauling equipment but that weight seems like it would bring a lot of problems. Ryan

I toured the john deere harvester works last friday. They were bragging how they had the most powerful combine in the world at 560-600hp I believe. I wanted to tell the guy I could put a 800hp engine on a Gleaner E and have the most powerful combine, doesn't mean you have capacity though.

I do believe Gleaners are still sold in Australia and maybe some parts of South America.

The Allis-Chalmers books are under the "AGCO Allis" tab on www.agcopartsbooks.com. Just like Oliver, MM and Cockshutt are under the "AGCO White" tab and Massey Harris and Ferguson are under the "Massey Ferguson" tab. Go on the New Holland parts site and you will not see a Ford tab just like on the CaseIH site you will not see DMI or David Brown tab.

If you want confusing, I have a 9480 Versatile. It says Ford on it in big letters, it has Versatile written on it, and it has New Holland written on it and emblems. I NEVER know where to start looking when I am comparing on Tractorhouse or looking up parts or filters. Other than that conundrum, I am quite satisfied with the tractor.

When I have to start looking for Allis and AGCO Allis parts hidden under a massey heading I am going to be plenty peeved! Luckily, Marty hasn't decided to push us that far yet. I wouldn't put it past him, though.
