Workin on a 200 AC and have to remove the pto front shaft housing - there are 2 dowel pins - are the dowel pins threaded in there ? I thought an Allen wrench should take them out but the holes looks round inside and cant get an Allen to bite in - unless someone else has been in there already and stripped them out, uuugggghhhhh , anyone know ?

I think they are tapped 1/4-20.

They are 1/4-20. A slide hammer usually works.

No don't heat the housing. Use a slide hammer and they should come out.  MACK

Good news !! [ for once] I bought a slide hammer at an auction a few years ago - never used it till today , made an attachment for it with the correct bolt size - a couple good whacks and they poped right out ; Thanks !!!
