Have to stay out in the cold. Wish I had more shed space. Gleaner E, D-19 gas, D-19 LPG, D-17 IV gas, and a WD45 LPG  IH 560 diesel, 2 D-19 diesels, D-17 diesel, and a D-19 LPG  2 WD45 LPGs, WD45 gas, WD, and my old 79 F-250

Nice pics. I have same problem,more tractors than space. Love to see the LP tractors. How do you get fuel in them? I worked for an older farmer who ran MM's with LP.He had a large tank that a semi would fill.He had a pump that pumped the LP into the tractor tanks(I was always worried it was going to explode). Can you only fill it so far with another tank? ------------- You only need to know 3 things to be a plumber;Crap rolls down hill,Hot is on the left and Don't bite your fingernails 1964 D-17 SIV 3 Pt.WF,1964 D-15 Ser II 3pt.WF ,1960 D-17 SI NF,1956 WD 45 WF. |

| Dad was/is big into LP and guess it stuck with me. I fill them by "gravity" or pressure differential by bleeding the vapor pressure out of the tractor tank which allows the liquid to transfer from the 500 gallon tank. It takes a little longer when it's cold out and biggest problem is if you run out you can't carry it in a 5 gallon can. Although a 30 pound gas grill tank will work with the right hose. Only supposed to fill tanks to 85% to allow for expansion, but if you get side tracked they can be overfilled. LP gas is just like any fuel, as long as you treat it with respect and some "common sense" it is a very safe fuel. It will burn, but will not burn back into the tank and explode like the movies show. Also it is very cold and will burn your skin. |

Yes there is a SFW on that WD. That WD is a work in slow progress.  I have 2 possibly 3 single fronts, 5 wide fronts and one tricycle pedestal for the WD interchangable front blocks.

| If you fill out of a tank you need to have your fill hose attached to the bottom of the tank or have a "liquid stick" inside the tank that extends to the bottom so that it picks up the liquid LP and not just the vapor from the top. I once had an 806 propane. On a warm day it would fill in 5 minutes if you bled the vapor from the tractor tank as you filled it. It is a safe fuel as long as you use common sense. |

Poor girls! They look cold and lonely! I have some space. Drop them by here anytime. I could even keep them "exercised" for you. Might be a bit of a drive to come visit, but i'll send pictures often. LOL! ------------- I didn't do it! It was a short, fat, tall, skinny guy that looked like me! |

I had a G-1000 MM for a while that was on LP. You could look all around and not see one fly, but within just minutes the vapor and tank would have "blow flies" swarming. Never did figure out where they came from but it happened everytime unless it was cold out! ------------- You don't really have to be smart if you know who is! |

The barn is full now. Should have built it 10' longer. Wider would have been better but not possible in that location. This type of building is very popular in our area. With a 24' x 16' roll up door and electric opener we are all in for about $10/ sq.ft. ------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed |

Well Dave I don't know about "treasures", but maybe some "diamonds in the rough" LOL. I'm actually just a couple of miles off of the Seward I-80 exit. Did this one start life as a dual fuel? I've got a WD dual fuel that is all original, but I've decided to switch to straight LP, keeping the original parts stashed just in case.

That one has all the original dual fuel parts, but no it is about 3 or 4 less fortunate tractors put together to make one. I have only ran that setup on LP never gasoline. My other ones have been converted to Impco straight LP for better start up and availability

My Granddad always used to say " if you can't afford to build a shed over your tractors you can't afford to own them". I've tried to live by that but sometimes there just isn't enough room. Currently all my running tractors are under roof but I've got some equipment I wish was in the dry. I been planning on building some more shed space or getting rid of some of the "junk" I've got taking up shed space. |
