How far back do the Allis sickle mowers go? Did they make horse drawn sickle mowers? The ground driven mowers were quite a labor saver over the scythe. I picked up a #1 and #4 jd horse mowers, at auction in about ready to cut hay condition. There is also a AC plow never put together and subsoiler on trailer.

Very nice haul you made there!  I don't remember ever seeing a horse-drawn AC mower.

Swinford lists the "WC Mowing attachment" as the first. From what I have read and learned, AC didn't have any implements until the acquisition of LaCrosse in 1929 and LaPorte in 1931.
